Training

Training for the 3-Day is going well. I would like to be a little farther along however I think I'm doing pretty good for where I'm at. I've eased into the last 8 weeks of training. This week is only 27 miles however next week is 47. It's my back to back 18mile/ 15mile. Mom and Paul are going to be here so I will have to either cut it short or just do it when everyone goes to bed. I'm averaging about 13 min miles so if I keep that pace I will need to walk for about 4 hours. My girlfriend from across the street is training with me. She is not walking with us but she is trying to lose weight for her vacation this summer. I'm happy to have a walking partner and she is willing to go as far as I want. She even said she'd walk the 10 miles on Saturday with me. Personally, I think she's lost her marbles but I REALLY appreciate her!

I'm at 80% ($1,760.00 and still have $440.00 to go) of my goal and am very excited! I still need donations and have been hitting local businesses. They keep giving me gift cards to their store. At least I won't have to buy socks and deodorant.

If anyone is still thinking about donating now would be a great time! Again, any donation is much appreciated.

I'll keep ya'll updated with training. I can't believe it only 63 more days.

Good job with your training. I hope you are able to raise the remaining 20% that you need!!! Your so close!!! What a great way to honor your mom.

Good job on the training. I have no doubt you'll be able to walk the entire 60 miles. If I could do it last year immediately after moving and on as little training as I did, I have no doubt you can do it!
