All four of us have been sick for I couldn't even say how long. I'm hoping that the girls are over their ear infections since swim lessons are supposed to be starting up again soon. I would just like everyone to be healthy again! Last night was the first night that I actually slept in about 4 days. I thought I was getting better but it all started back in this morning after being up for a couple hours.
The girls have pretty much mastered climbing. We've removed our coffee table and are allowing them to climb the sofas/chair. Rachel is about a 1/2" too short but she figures out a way to get up their. We've incorporated the 1-2-3 this past week. They enjoy standing on the couch so I started in with the (mean voice) 1-2-3 and if they are still standing then they get a little swat on the leg. Needless to say I don't get past 2 very often.
It seems that toys are being put in time-out more than the girls are. If one has a toy the other one thinks she needs it too. If they can't share it then it gets put in time-out and I sneak it back into the room when they're not looking. (I know they are too young to understand sharing but I'm still going to try and teach them).
Over the last couple weeks we've been working on using silverware. They are getting pretty good with the 'poke' (fork) and are still working on the 'scoop' (spoon). Last week I gave them peas for dinner and was trying to teach them how to use the other hand to help push the food onto the spoon. I walked to the counter to get something and I looked back and Rachel picked up 1 pea, put it on the spoon and put the spoon (and pea) in her mouth. It was such a pretty cool moment!
The girls LOVE taking Mommy and Daddy's slippers off our feet and trying them on. Sarah also thinks that if she says Please (in sign language) she'll get anything she wants. I admit, it's really hard to say no however however it is so stinking cute!!
The girls have also been working on becoming more independent. Sarah tried to dress herself yesterday. Needless to say she almost had it. Rachel is starting out slowly with the socks however, I went outside to put the chicken on the grill last night and I came back in and she didn't have any pants on....
The girls are also trying to learn how to whistle. They pucker up and sometimes you can actually hear a sound come out of their mouths.
This is the face Rachel makes when you ask her to smile
Training: Saturday morning at 6am three team members and I walked 5 miles in an hour. I need to also mention that it was 24 degrees out, frost on the ground, cars etc. It was like a very pretty picture. However, I wish I would have been looking at that picture through my eyelids in my nice warm bed. Tonight I hope to get in about 3 miles. (I can't believe that walking and spinning are sooo different. I thought I was in pretty good shape spinning 17 miles 2-3 time a week... I guess I have a LONG way to go to get up to walking 60 miles)

It is so much fun watching them learn new things. I loved it when Nolan started learning how to use silverware and dressing himself somewhat. Makes life a little easier when they become more independent. Sad too to see them grow up so fast!! :) Your girls are adorable!!!!
