Office Baby Shower

It's official -- we are definitely ready for these babies to arrive! While the Thanksgiving holiday resulted in a short work week (at least for Eric), Eric's co-workers were busy throwing him a SURPRISE baby shower. While he joked about spending days in the Army, dreaming about one day having a baby shower, he was very touched by the outpouring of love from all of his co-workers. The shower was thrown on Tuesday of that week, and Eric came home with a car full of gifts for the kids the following day (there were so many gifts that he could not even attempt carrying them home).

We have not yet seen any photographs which were taken during the shower itself, but Laura has gathered many of the gifts, and taken photos to share here. We are very thankful to Eric's work family for their generosity, which included not only tons of toys, clothes, and baby care items, but gift cards and other donations to the babies' "diaper fund."

It is said that "the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence." As many of you know, Eric has been trying to improve himself professionally in the hopes of someday obtaining a transfer to State Farm Headquarters, in Bloomington, IL. This grand gesture by his co-workers served as a reminder that if such an opportunity ever presents itself, it will be a very, very difficult decision if we do decide to pick up and move from our current home. It's not an easy thing to leave good friends who truly care for you.

THANKS TO EVERYONE FOR ALL OF THE LOVE, GIFTS, AND WELL WISHES!!
