Any Day Now...

My appts went great yesterday!

OB appt: I found out that there weren’t any changes from the past week. I did lose a pound but that’s nothing unusual.

Non Stress Test: The babies were active and did well on their portion of the testing. I on the other hand had contractions (this is a very good thing). They were measuring about 8-10 min apart. I was instructed to monitor them and if they got closer, about 5 min apart, and stronger to call my Dr.

Perinatologist: The best news anyone could give me!! Both babies are head down! This means we can definitely go for a vaginal delivery with a c-section as our back up.

Baby A is so low in my pelvis that they had trouble getting a good image of the head however what they did get looked good. They also informed me that the weight was great 6 pounds 1 ounce.

Baby B is not too far behind. They say the chances of flipping back to breech are very slim (I’m crossing my fingers that it doesn’t happen). Baby B’s weight is 5 pounds 2 ounces, which is still very good!

I was able to see both babies simulate breathing in the womb. Since their first breath won’t be taken until they are born it’s amazing to see them ‘practicing’. The Dr said that if they were born yesterday they would have a very good chance of coming home with me when I leave the hospital. Each day after that makes me more and more confident that we should all ride home with Daddy together!!

We’ll keep you posted!
