This week has flown. It started out with me being sick (cough and congestion). I managed to pass it on to Rachel. She started in with the runny nose then the cough & wheezing. The Dr said she has an upper respiratory infection.
We've been busy!
Tuesday night went to the library for 2's (story hour for kids that are 2).
Wednesday we went swimming. The girls did really well. Both girls swam with the instructor and seemed to have fun. We'll be holding them back until Fall. They are not 'mature' enough to follow all instructions given by their instructor. Eric and I will keep working with them and hopefully they'll be ready by then.
Friday we took Rachel to a Pediatric Orthopedist in Springfield for her toe walking. We were hoping the diagnosis would be that she would outgrow it... we go back the 27th to get her 'magic' shoes. They molded her feet and are making braces to help stretch her muscles. The Dr couldn't determine if she walked on her toes because her muscles were tight or her muscles were tight because she walked on her toes. She said Rachel will probably have to wear them for a year to correct the habit and stretch the muscles. I think we are going to be getting some physical therapy along with them. This will be a lot harder on me than it will be on her.
