The weekend was pretty relaxed. Not much got done except watching basketball.
The girls and I are very happy Dad is home!! We missed him. The girls seem to be doing and saying silly things and I just can't remember them to share but many times Eric and I look at each other and just start laughing.
Sarah is such a 'big' sister. She reminds Rachel to use both hands when she is drinking out of a cup. They have little conversations with each other and they are so cute. We are working on Yes and No instead of their nods and sounds.
We are still potty training. They are do really well!! Sarah realizes now when she has to go #2. Sometimes (rarely is this an issue) it's not fast enough and if she can't get to the potty before she has a little accident in her panties she screams. Rachel is still naked from the waist down most days. She will not go #2 if her panties are off. I don't understand why she is successful without panties but is unsuccessful with them on. You'd think that if she can feel it one way she'd be able to feel it the other way too..... another mystery I will never solve.
They have been acting very 2 lately. Not wanting to eat their veggies and throwing some pretty good tantrums. We just keep rolling with the punches.
Aunt Joy is coming to visit tomorrow and staying through Thursday. The girls are excited she is coming. Mommy is too!!
Friday we're going to Springfield to get Rachel's magic shoes. The Dr says she'll need to wear them for a year. The physical therapist will be here on Monday to evaluate her muscles and give stretching recommendations. (in case you don't know, Rachel is a toe walker. The Dr said she can't determine if her muscles are short because she walks on her toes or she walks on her toes because her muscles are short. Needless to say, the braces are to correct this.) It will be harder on me that it will be on her. She will probably never remember it but I won't forget it.
Hope you all have a good week!
