Potty Training

Over the Christmas break Eric was home for 2 weeks. We thought since the girls were showing so much interest in the potty that we'd try to train them. We started with Sarah since she showed the most interest. Day 2 Rachel was VERY jealous and decided she was going to try too. Day 3 Sarah started to do nothing but play so we quit with her and worked with Rachel. She was doing great!! She worked her way up to being dry all day. (peed 4 times and pooped 2 times on the potty) Then it all went down hill. She got sick with bronchitis and that was it. They were both wanting to 'play' not go pee. It got so frustrating that I locked the door and that was that.

One day last week I went upstairs to get the girls clothes and I heard velcro. I hurried back down to find Rachel half naked yelling, 'pee pee, pee pee' I checked the potty and sure enough she went. All by herself. She was so proud and I was too! Again, nothing came of it.

Last night I put the girls back into panties (when Eric got home). We were all playing and Rachel took off to the bathroom (she liked to pee by herself) so we just let her go. Next thing we knew she ran out yelling 'pee pee'. Yeah Rachel!

I tried the girls in panties today and got nothing good out of it. Tonight we were playing (we put them back in diapers) and Sarah took off her pants and diaper and went to the potty all by herself. (keep in mind she says pee pee and runs to the bathroom like a hundred times a day and she hasn't gone on the potty in over a month) She came and got me and told me she went. Sure enough she did. Not a lot but she still did it.

I have to remember it will happen when THEY are ready. It is VERY frustrating but they look so stinking cute in their panties!!
