What a night

Yesterday, around 4, we were on the floor playing. Brock was sitting in front of Sophie and Rachel was next to him. Sarah was over next to me behind Sophie. Rachel bent over to get a toy and Sophie's little fingers went up and in my experience, finger + eye = owie!!

The next hour and half I spent trying to get Rachel to stop crying. Eric and I decided that we should take her and get her eye checked out. Poor Rachel and I waited 45 min at "Prompt" Care. (nothing prompt about that place!!) During that time I got several dirty stares. I couldn't get Rachel calmed down enough to stop screamming. The Dr finally looked at her and determined that she had a cornial abrasion... DAH I could have told you that!! He gave me an ointment to put in her eye. Yeah right!! I guess I hadn't really heard screamming until Eric and I had to pin her down, pry her eye open and put the cream in it.

This morning she's doing a lot better. She's still not excited about the eye cream.

Rachel gets to meet the eye Dr tomorrow for a follow up. I have no idea how that is going to turn out... I'll keep you posted.
