Smarty Pants

This past week the girls have been talking more and more. Rachel can now say her name. It sounds like Tachel but it's pretty close. Sarah has been saying her name and Rachel's for a couple weeks. The other night Eric and I were giving baths and I covered Rachel's face and said 'where's Rachel', Sarah said 'there she is' (clear as day as if Eric or I said it). She has not said it again however we know she can say it.

Today I took the girls to Easter Seals for Developmental testing. Just to make sure they are where they should be developmentally. They scored very high on all the tests except communication. (that's what we figured) They are on the border of okay and needing help. The Developmental Specialist has suggested a therapist come out and evaluate their communication further. She feels that the therapist will agree with her decision to just keep an eye on them and keep doing what we are doing.

We'll keep you posted.

Hi Laura,

We just went through EI ourselves too with the twins. Rianna passed while Justin qualify for speech/language delay. We are currently on a waiting list for now. The longer my son is on waiting list a chance for him to be in preschool for FREE when he get closer to '3' for re-evaluate. I am working hard to get him to do things he should be on track.

I'm glad you're getting the help too. We benefit because they will be a bit more prepare unlike other toddlers entering preschool.

By the way, I have your blog onto my blog link. I enjoyed reading yours whenever you update.
